Ducati this year presented two Scrambler Concept bikes at the World Premiere and EICMA this year. they are base on the 1100 and 800 variants.
The Desert X draws most of its inspiration 1990's grueling Paris Dakar winners, sport white panels with retro style red, grey and black stripes and twin front headlights, again derived Dakar inspiration. like the the Scrambler 1100the Desert X is powered by an air-cooled1.1 liter two cylinder engine. A lot of the techinal spec is still very much under wraps with Ducati, we do kno that the Desert X will push out 86 BHP at 7500 RPM and 65 pound-feet of torque at 4750RPM.
The Desert X as you can imagine has been designed to mile munch, so Ducati have also added another fuel tank under the seat, upswept exhaust and skid plate. All in all the a lovely looking retro Scrambler with a hint of Dakar thrown in for good measure.
